The Houston team had our annual holiday dinner on Friday December 8th at KUU. The food there was amazing, I highly recommend the place if you are a sushi lover.
4th Annual Appalachian Basin Geophysical Symposium
Corey Morgan and I really enjoyed presenting our talk “Advanced Imaging, Is It the Whole Solution?” at this event on June 7th. I just saw the pictures from the event and thought they were definitely worth a blog post. Honored to be included with such an illustrious group of professionals!
URTeC in Denver
It was good to attend the URTeC conference in Denver this week. Although smaller than some years there were lots of good conversations taking place and many folks to catch up with.
Although I only had a pass for exhibitor’s floor, I heard positive comments about the quality of the talks.
The talks were delivered through headphones this year. The comments I heard were positive. Anyone have feedback on that delivery method?
The booths were fun and creative. Not sure I can get anyone from LSNS to dress up in a polar bear costume, but it certainly got some attention on the exhibit floor.
Hawaiian shirt day and happy hour
After the last few years of working from home and not having a lot of opportunities to socialize we look forward to times when we can step away from our computers and have more personal interactions. Often, some of the most creative ideas come from these unstructured discussions! With that in mind, a few weeks ago the team here at LSNS had a Spring Happy Hour and Hawaiian Shirt day.
The group in Denver gathered on the roof of our office space (in between rain showers) to enjoy a nacho bar, cocktails, and a view.
