Since LSNS was founded in 2017, we have taken more than 4,000 square miles through PSTM in the Delaware Basin and 2,000+ through PSDM

We are an employee-owned, full service seismic imaging company with acquisition optimization and software business lines. Our mission is to provide more reliable seismic data to our customers through improved acquisition, processing, and reservoir services work. We have several differential, proprietary algorithms that help us do this including our machine learning technology called "GEARS" for use in noise removal on prestack seismic data, Wave Equation Refraction Statics, and FWC (Full Waveform Correction), which provides a partial correction for near surface distortion. By using advanced algorithms for noise identification and removal we are changing noise removal on land seismic data from an art to a science. The benefits of this deterministic methodology include much improved high and low frequencies and near and far offsets in the seismic data leading to improved reliability of attributes. Our technology also lends itself to shortening the processing cycle time, and delivering more interpretable seismic volumes. We also generate QC attribute volumes to more reliably measure the data quality at any stage in processing, as well as on attributes generated from the seismic data.

Additionally, we use a proprietary methodology and optimization algorithm for seismic survey design called NOLA. We can design to not only optimize signal but also to minimize noise. By characterizing the noise that is likely to be present on new acquisition, we can change the design - often reducing the cost - to minimize the amount of noise acquired and also to make the noise more removable through the machine learning methods. Land noise is not random - we can design for it!

Land Seismic Noise’s proprietary processing tools provided significant uplift of signal clarity and continuity through the reservoir section on a notoriously noisy dataset. This older 3D survey is poorly sampled and suffered from array forming in the field, so traditional model/subtract noise removal techniques met with limited success throughout numerous re-processing attempts by multiple vendors. The adaptive nature of their techniques was key to revitalizing this old dataset!
